Boat in a bottle
For this project, I wanted to blend my 3D model of a toy ship with what I was learning in a masterclass on the advantages of using USD in Houdini. I integrated my 3D model, fx of the water and ship movement to stage to get better control and less render time in my overal scene.
To spice things up, I decided to test out two different render engines: Karma and Arnold. It was a fun way to see how each one handled rendering and transfering data with USD and compare the results.
